At any time of the year in New Jersey, over 10,000 abused and neglected children are in foster care.
Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers, working as part of a network of local, statewide CASA programs, ensure that these children, who are victims of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse, or outright abandonment, have a voice in court proceedings that determine their fates.
CASA of Somerset, Hunterdon, and Warren counties (CASA SHaW) is pleased to participate in the process of helping children in foster care find a caring environment in which to grow and thrive because every child deserves to call some place home.
Please look around our website to learn more about the important work of CASA or to become a volunteer.
In January, 2008, CASA SHAW expanded into Warren County. In the first six months of service, CASA volunteer advocates served 34 children in that community. If you live in or near Warren County please consider becoming a volunteer to advocate for one of these precious children who need a voice.
